CONTEXT:

Wishing to develop the circular economy on its business area, Vitropole Entreprendre opted for support in promoting the implementation of a T.I.E. (Territorial Industrial Ecology) strategy. The main objectives were :

  • to strengthen cooperations between stakeholders located in the concerned area
  • to promote the optimization of flows or resources among these actors (raw materials, equipment, premises, human resources, etc.)
  • to improve waste management
  • to preserve natural resources (water, green spaces)
  • to support the resilience of the business area (through the development of short supply chains)
  • to maintain economic attractiveness to companies and their employees, who are more and more looking for 'favorable' work environments
  • to reduce its environmental impact


WITH MY CONSULTING SERVICES:

During 2 years, we have worked on:

  • first analysis
  • creation and facilitation of a steering committee and a technical committee, both multidisciplinary
  • definiton of the purpose statement, choice of strategic orientation and co-creation of an action plan
  • identification of resources available for potential substitution or pooling solutions between companies
  • implementation of 'B-toB' meetings for the development of the circular economy
  • shared solution for collecting and re-using profesional textile
  • organization of awareness events such as an eco-friendly fashion show or thematic webinars 
  • green space enhancement through the implementation of a regenerative hydrology solution (rainwater capture and reuse) and the restoration of natural habitats

KEY RESULTS:

  • Label reconductionParc+(recognition for the implementation of a sustainable development program within a business area)
  • 2 tons of textiles, 10 tons of paper, 5,253.5 kg of electronic waste redirected to alternative recycling solutions instead of landfilling or incineration, equivalent to 43 tons of CO2 emissions avoided
  • 10 partnerships created between companies about circular economy solutions
  • Early adoption and implementation of a textile waste management solution ahead of regulatory changes for better business adaptation
